Abbay Basin Center Ethiopia

ABBAY BASIN CENTER – ETHIOPIA / Abbreviation (ABC-Ethiopia)” The civil society that will be established as the main focus is to make Ethiopians understand that water is our life, the basis of our development and the bright hope of future generations and to stand together for the benefit of our country regarding transboundary rivers.

Objectives

The main objectives of this non-governmental civil society is

To make citizens have sufficient understanding of the use of natural resources in their country, especially the connection with transboundary rivers; Encouraging environmental protection activities that help river development.

To strongly engage with mass media in order to provide well documented and updated contents, academic developments, projects and initiatives regarding our nation’s water resources to the general public, corporate partners and the international community.

Building a multi-purpose national water center that is a center to education, research and a promotion (in a public access level) of all things related to Ethiopian waterbodies, the extended geography and our mission and goals as ABC-Ethiopia.
